Swimming Pool Leaks
We specialize in swimming pool leak detection and swimming pool leak repair. Our expert technicians will inspect the perimeter of the pool, dive the pool, and if necessary use audio and video inspection equipment to locate all of your pool leaks.
We charge a flat fee for basic leak detection and leak repair on standard pools. This covers the majority of leaks on the inside of the pool. Pools that are leaking less than 2 inches a day are most likely to have these types of leaks. The flat fee for this leak detection and these repairs is $150.00.
For advanced leak detection we charge $200.00 for standard residental pools, and $300.00 for commercial pools under 40,000 gallons (please call for quotes for larger pools). The advanced leak detection is for pools that are leaking more than 2 inches of water a day. This usually means that there is a broken pipe underground. We will seal off the pool and/or spa, place the system under pressure, and will use listening devices called geophones, to pinpoint the leak location. Repair prices start at $400.00 for underground repairs. We will provide a free quote for the cost of the repair. The repair prices vary due to the location and the extent of the underground leak.
Here is a summary of what our swimming pool leak technicians do to find your pool leaks. First they inspect the pool equipment for any leaks. Next they inspect the perimeter of the pool/spa and any water features around the pool. Then, if necessary, the technician dives the pool and reinspects the returns, and inspects the light, any deeper tile, and the main drain. For fiberglass pools the technician then checks the surface for cracks. For vinyl pools the technician checks the surface for holes.
If the leaks are not found at this point, the technician will also put the sytem under pressure to check for underground leaks. They will seal off all of the plumbing and using air pressure or water pressure, detect leaks using subsurface measuring and listening devices, such as geophones or a pipe inspection camera.
Once the leak is found, the leak is repaired, and then the pool is monitored for a few days following to ensure that there are on further leaks, and that the pool is holding a consistent level of water. We then guarantee that the pool will not leak for the next 30 days. If the pool does still leak in the next 30 days, we will return to fix it for free!
